Starting Point: Mapusa Taxi Stand / Old GMC Panjim
Duration: 2.5 hours
Timings: Flexible. However, we recommend 8am-10:30 am

  1. Meet at Market Entrance
    Your local guide introduces the market, its history, and why markets play such a central role in Goan life.
  2. Spice & Ingredient Exploration
    Walk through spice stalls and learn about Goan masalas, dried fish, kokum, chilies, and aromatics used in everyday cooking.
  3. Fruits, Produce & Preserves
    Discover seasonal fruits, vegetables, homemade pickles, and preserved items while learning how Goans adapt to the coastal climate.
  4. Cultural Stories & Traditions
    Hear stories about festivals, food rituals, family cooking traditions, and how markets change with seasons.
  5. Wrap-up & Breakfast
    End the walk with tips on what to buy, how to use ingredients, and a local staple Goan breakfast.

The start location is shared depending on which location you choose. We have the option on Mapusa, Panjim and Margao

Parking is available in and around the start location. Arrive 15 minutes early to find Parking.

What should I wear?

Are Children Allowed?

Yes. Children are allowed. 5 years and below no charge. 6-9 years are charged 50%

What is the total distance?

1-1.5 KM on average with multiple stops in between

Is food included in the ticket price?

Goan Breakfast and Tea is included. 

What should I bring?

Comfortable footwear, caps, sunglasses and umbrellas as necessary. Carry Drinking Water too. 

What if the weather is bad?

In the event of heavy rain or unsafe conditions, trips may be rescheduled or cancelled. In this case, we shall refund the entire amount

What is the maximum group size?

We take up to 8 guests per storyteller. 

Are Pets allowed?

No.

What If I arrive Late?

No Shows will be charged full. There will not be any refund or rescheduling without prior information. Delay in start time will be at your own cost and you can join the tour. 

However, we can reschedule or delay the trip as per the availability with sufficient notice. 

Can we extend the duration?

Yes. Up to 1 Hour

Is transport included?

Transport is not included in the price. You will have to make arrangements for your transport  Keep the vehicle until the end of the trip
