Goa Forest Escape is a curated nature experience designed for guests who want to explore Goa beyond its beaches. The exact forest and water location, often around the forested hinterlands near Valpoi and similar areas, is selected based on the season, weather, water levels, trail conditions, group comfort and fitness levels. Depending on conditions, guests may visit a waterfall, forest stream or natural freshwater pool.
A local storyteller or nature guide accompanies the group throughout the trail, sharing information about the forest, trees, insects, butterflies and surrounding landscape while helping guests navigate safely. This is not simply a waterfall visit. It’s a complete experience combining forest exploration, freshwater, local knowledge, Goan food and slow village hospitality.
This is a private experience: only your group joins, and the trail pace is set around your group. Pricing is per person, inclusive of all taxes, for a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 guests (the more guests, the lower the per-person price).

This means we can choose a location that provides the best balance between safety, accessibility and experience, rather than taking every group to the same waterfall regardless of conditions. The experience is led by a trained storyteller or nature guide who accompanies guests throughout the trail, helps them navigate the terrain and shares interesting information about Goa's natural environment.
The Experience
Forest Exploration
Meet your guide and begin the forest trail. The trail and location are selected according to the season, weather and group profile. Expect forest landscapes, streams, trees, butterflies, insects and beautiful natural viewpoints, often around the forested hinterlands near Valpoi and similar areas.
Waterfall, Stream or Natural Pool
Depending on conditions, the experience may include a waterfall, stream or natural freshwater pool. At suitable locations, guests can swim; at others, the water may only be suitable for a refreshing dip. Your guide will advise on what's appropriate at the time.
Feni Experience
Return to a local farm to relax and experience Goan feni. Your guide explains the significance of feni and gives some context about this traditional Goan spirit. Feni cocktails are included, with non-alcoholic alternatives such as lime or kokum-based drinks available.
Traditional Goan Lunch
Lunch is served as a buffet at the farm, prepared in the village. Expect rice, Goan gravy, fried fish, seasonal vegetables, salad and dessert. The exact dishes vary according to season and local availability.

Guests who do not want to hike are not recommended for this experience, as the forest component is an essential part of it.
What to Bring & Good to Know
- Comfortable footwear with good grip, and quick-dry clothing with a change of clothes
- Towel, comfortable clothing and sun protection
- Changing rooms and washrooms are available at the farm, generally not at the forest or waterfall location itself
- Guests can use their own vehicle; transport can be arranged at an additional cost
- Mobile connectivity can be limited or unavailable at some forest locations
- We prefer starting the experience between 10 AM and 3 PM for the best conditions
Safety
Locations are selected according to current weather, water levels, trail conditions and group comfort. The guide accompanies guests throughout and assists with navigation and basic safety. The team carries a first-aid kit, waterproof bags and ropes where required, and maintains emergency contact arrangements. Forest fees are included.

Forest Escape vs. a Typical Waterfall Trip
A typical waterfall trip is often about reaching a particular waterfall. Forest Escape is about experiencing Goa's natural landscape. The location can change according to conditions, allowing us to choose the right forest, water body and trail for your group. The experience then continues beyond the forest with feni and a traditional Goan meal at a village farm. It's designed as a slow, immersive day in nature, rather than simply a sightseeing stop.

Natural locations are subject to weather, water levels, trail conditions and local operating conditions, so the final location may change based on conditions on the day. Swimming is only permitted where conditions are considered suitable by the guide. This experience is designed for guests comfortable with walking on uneven natural terrain and spending time outdoors.
Meeting Location:
Will be shared once the booking is confirmed. It will be within 10km from Valpoi Village. The locations are secluded and we do not share the information publicly to keep them that way. We Choose the locations on your behalf based on the season, safety and condition of the waterfalls.
